Khabib Nurmagomedov says Justin Gaethje ‘hit like a truck’ and hits tougher than any opponent he ever confronted in his UFC profession.
‘The Eagle’ bowed out of MMA with an ideal document of 29-Zero after defeating Gaethje on Battle Island final October in dominant style.
Khabib had already successfully cleaned out the perfect within the light-weight division, having choked out Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier in his earlier two fights.
Though the world had hoped to see the Russian face Tony Ferguson, he by no means shied away from a problem and confronted among the greatest punchers ever seen within the 155lbs division.
Regardless of going through as much as the deadly left of McGregor and Poirier’s livid flurries, the 32-year-old insists it was Gaethje who hit him tougher than any opponent he ever confronted.
“This man [Justin Gaethje] hit like a truck, you realize,” Nurmagomedov stated to Mike Tyson on his podcast.
“No person hit me tougher than Justin Gaethje. His kick, his punch, his left hook, proper hook, proper uppercut.
“I make him hit me, you realize. Once I go to the cage and I used to be sitting like, ‘Okay, I’m going to go, I’m going to deliver him into the deep ocean.
”I’m going to make him drained in stand-up and I’m going to deliver him on the bottom and end him.”
