Birmingham City goalkeeper Neil Etheridge is in hospital being handled for COVID-19, the membership confirmed.
The 31-year-old returned to the Championship membership for pre-season coaching in June and is now out indefinitely while being handled for the virus.
Birmingham confirmed the information on Twitter in an announcement, saying: “The membership can affirm that @Neil38Etheridge is at the moment receiving therapy in hospital for COVID-19.
“Everybody at #BCFC is sending him all our power and finest needs.”
