Billy Joe Saunders’ father has claimed that his son’s combat with Canelo Alvarez this Saturday is now OFF.
The 2 camps are locked in a dispute over the dimensions of the ring for the combat, with Canelo initially wanting an 18ft model, whereas Saunders hoped for a 24ft equal.

Canelo agreed to rise 20ft, whereas Saunders dropped to 22ft, however no one is at the moment keen to budge any additional.
Tom Saunders has now advised iFL TV: “There’s nothing within the contract about ring measurement. Negotiations have broke down… They’ve stated it’s both 20ft or e book your flights house… The combat’s off.”
Saunders Sr admitted there’s a likelihood the occasion could be saved if a 22ft ring is agreed upon, however insisted that, as issues stand, there is no such thing as a combat.
